The 2022 NBA Draft is one day away, and many promising prospects will have their name called during the two-round event at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

But who will go No. 1 overall? That is the real question. Auburn’s Jabari Smith has been favored for much of the process, but there has been a lot of recent steam on Paolo Banchero. The WynnBET trading team has been constantly adjusting this market, which is still available to bet on for those interested.

Here’s a look at our betting insights as of Wednesday afternoon in regards to the top selection of the 2022 NBA Draft. Remember to view our sportsbook promotions for more details on new offers and bonuses.

Paolo Banchero

Betting Insights:

  • Latest odds: +275

  • 54.5% of tickets

  • 43.4% of money

On Sunday, Banchero was 20/1 to be the No. 1 overall pick. He is now priced at +250, due to WynnBET taking a lot of recent action on the Duke standout to be the top pick.

Banchero, who is a 6-foot-10 forward, averaged 17.2 points per game with the Blue Devils last season. He produced 7.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, shooting 47.8% from the floor during his only season at the collegiate level.

Jabari Smith

Betting Insights:

  • Latest odds: -300

  • 20.7% of tickets

  • 40.9% of money

Smith is considered the most pro-ready prospect in this class after his lone season at Auburn.

In 34 games, Smith averaged 16.9 points per game to go along with 7.4 rebounds and 1.0 block per contest. The 6-foot-10 forward made 42% of his 3-point attempts, and he’s a versatile defender. Those are traits that should translate for Smith to make an immediate impact as a rookie.

Chet Holmgren

Betting Insights:

  • Latest odds: +500

  • 16.5% of tickets

  • 12.7% of money

The Orlando Magic are certainly doing their due diligence when it comes to deciding who to take at No. 1 overall. Orlando reportedly met with Gonzaga’s Chet Holmgren for a multi-day visit a few days ago ahead of the NBA Draft.

Holmgren averaged 14.1 points per outing in his lone season with Gonzaga. Holmgren added 9.9 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per contest to lead the Bulldogs to a No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Best of the Rest

Only three other players have received any action since this market opened, though it is unlikely that any of them will go No. 1 overall.

Jaden Ivey from Purdue, who is 100/1 to be the top selection, has received 5.8% of the tickets and 2.4% of the handle. Bennedict Mathurin has received 1.7% of the tickets, while Shaedon Sharpe has attracted 0.8% of the tickets.
