It’s easy to fall in love with what the Cowboys did against the Buccaneers on Monday night. But now they’ll face a far greater opponent and do so on a short week. I still think there’s a lot to like about the Cowboys getting four points given they’re a team that, when playing well, has a ceiling that rivals San Francisco.
The issue is that we’ve seen the 49ers on a rampage for well over a month now and just two weeks ago Dallas got embarrassed by Washington.
49ers -4.0, Over 46.5
I’m not going to turn my back on the 49ers after all the money they made me over the final two months of the season. I also think 46.5 is a reasonable total to clear given the superstars within each offense. More importantly, these offenses are explosive and capable of quick scoring drives. Finally, each defense excels in getting takeaways, which means short fields or even a defensive score is possible in this one.
