2023 College Basketball Predictions: Best Bets to Reach the Round of 4

For March and into April, we have one of the most chaotically beautiful sports betting periods—the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, also known as March Madness.

The process begins on March 14 with the First Four, and the championship will be on April 3.

However, just two days before that, on April Fools Day, is the Round of 4, also known as the Final Four.

The teams that make it here will be the one that has won their region.

Here, we’ll offer our best bets for the teams that will make the Final Four—a betting market available at WynnBET right now.

Best Bets To Make The Round of 4

Kansas Jayhawks

Betting Odds: +175

As the Jayhawks head into the Big 12 tournament, they were in the midst of a winning streak that dates back to February 4, but lose the regular season finale to the Texas Longhorns by 16 points. This team will almost certainly win their Conference tournament, though, and will secure a No. 1 seed. They have 15 Quad 1 victories and have players like Jalen Wilson, KJ Adams Jr., Gradey Dick, and Dajuan Harris Jr., that help make up one of the more dangerous starting fives in the sport.

On top of this, they have Bill Self as their head coach as they look to repeat last season.

UCLA Bruins

Betting Odds: +200

After a late-season slide from the Purdue Boilermakers, the Bruins will likely land as a No. 1 seed. They’re one of the better defensive units in the country, allowing just 60.1 points per game (tied for fifth in college basketball). Jaylen Clark averages nearly three steals per game, but he’s out for now with a lower leg injury. Jaime Jaquez Jr. is their top offensive threat, leading the team in points (17.5) and assists (8.0).

Gonzaga Bulldogs

Betting Odds: +300

While we don’t know how the final bracket will shake out—that happens on March 12—there’s a reasonable enough chance that Gonzaga and UCLA will end up in the same region.

However, we’re here to offer the best bets, even if that involves betting against teams that could play against one another before the Final Four.

Gonzaga will likely be a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament, but they’re a dangerous team.

Offensively, there’s no team better in the nation, as the Bulldogs average nearly 88 points per outing. Unfortunately, their defense ranks 261st in college basketball when it comes to opponent points per game.

Their roster consists of four players that score double-digit points, with forward Drew Timme leading the way with 20.9. He also leads the team in rebounds and blocks.

If Gonzaga can somehow turn on the defense or simply continue to blow teams away with scoring, they’re going to be tough to stop.

Houston Cougars

Betting Odds: +150

Coming out of the AAC, the Houston Cougars will have a chip on their shoulder despite their No. 1 national rank since they’re not in Power Five Conference.

The Cougars have one of the best defensive units, allowing just 56.5 points per game. They have experience, headlined by guard Marcus Sasser and here’s a bonus—the Final Four takes place at NRG Stadium in Houston this year.
