Three Card Poker is a poker-style online casino game where the Player is playing against the House’s hand. The game utilizes a 52-card deck, which is reshuffled between each game. Three cards are dealt to both the Player and the house. The objective of the game is to make a better three-card poker hand than the house. There are two optional side bets - the Pair Plus side bet and the 6 Card Bonus side bet.

How to Play Three Card Poker

To start, bet on the Ante. The pair Plus and 6 Card Bonus side bets are optional and can only be bet on at this point.

The House will then deal three cards to the Player (face up), and three cards to itself (face down).

  1. After looking at the cards that are dealt, there is the option to Fold or Play for each hand.

  2. Folding will forfeit the Ante bet.

  3. Playing will automatically make a bet that is 1x the Ante Bet.

The house will then reveal his cards. If the house has a Queen high or better, the house’s hand will be evaluated against the Player’s hand using the hand rankings.

  1. If the House’s hand outranks the Player’s hand, the Play and Ante bets lose.

  2. If the House’s hand and the Player’s hand are of identical rank, the Play and ANte bets will push.

  3. If the Player’s hand outranks the House’s hand, the Play and Ante bets are paid 1:1.

  4. If the House has less than a Queen high, the HOuse does not qualify. The Play bet will push and the Ante bet is paid 1:1.

Regardless of the house’s hand, the Player will receive an ANte Bonus if hte Player makes a Play bet and has a Straight Flush, Three of a Kind or a Straight. Players are paid according to the Ante BOnus paytable that can be found in game.

Three Card Poker Rules

In Three Card Poker, players compete against the dealer. Players make an Ante bet.

The player and the dealer each receive three cards. The player has the option to make a Play bet of 1x the Ante or Fold. The player's objective is to make a better three-card poker hand than the dealer.

Hand Rankings

In Three Card Poker, three-card hands are ranked from highest to lowest as follows:

  1. Straight Flush (all cards are in sequential rank and of the same suit)

  2. Three of a Kind (contains three cards of the same rank)

  3. Straight (all cards are of sequential rank in at least two different suits)

  4. Flush (all cards are of the same suit)

  5. Pair (contains two cards of the same rank)

  6. High Card (hand does not meet the above requirements, highest valued card is counted)

Note that the value of a card ascends sequentially from 2-10, and then according to the following:

  • Jack (denoted by a J)

  • Queen (denoted by a Q)

  • King (denoted by a K)

  • Ace (denoted by an A)

When evaluating a hand, only the highest possible rank within the player's cards is considered (while a Straight Flush contains both a Straight and a Flush, it is calculated solely as a Straight Flush). Ace is high except in 3-2-Ace sequence. Note that side bets are paid according to the pay table.
