With Chicago’s Monday night defeat in Pittsburgh, NFL Week 9 is officially wrapped up, and not a moment too soon. In the way that last week was one for the books, this week was one for the dogs: Underdogs, that is ...

Victory Lap

From a betting perspective, this weekend showcased a bit of insanity. Fortunately, Claudia was able to slip through by hitting a CFB parlay at +600 after Mississippi State’s animated backdoor cover! This week, any and all wins deserve to be celebrated.

Joe was able to get one easy win, himself. Fann had his eye on Carolina at New England, and using Sam Darnold’s prior performances against Bill Belichick as reference, wisely laid the points with the Patriots. Of course, Darnold’s day went rather atrociously, throwing three interceptions and no touchdowns in the 24-6 loss. Perhaps those “ghosts” refurfaced ...

Hold the “L”

As aforementioned, there were more than enough “L”s to go around this weekend. Claudia was feeling confident in the Los Angeles Rams laying points while hosting the Titans (who were fresh off losing superstar Derrick Henry); that failed miserably in a contest that the Rams lost outright, and never seemed comfortable in.

Joe missed on a Michael Carter receiving prop by half a yard; seriously, who does that? Additionally, Fann was backing Raiders -2.5, which ended up crashing as well. Considering everything that’s occurred in Raider-nation over the past month, it's safe to say their organization may be a bit distracted at the moment. And now second-year CB Damon Arnette has been cut for character issues: Wishing strength to the silver and black!

NFL Week 9 recap

In case you missed it, upsets littered Sunday’s playing fields in nearly the same fashion as the trash that rained down on that one college game a few weeks ago (*cough* Tennessee Vols *cough*. In the early NFL window, we saw Atlanta win at New Orleans (27-25), Denver roll at Dallas (30-16), an OBJ-less Cleveland team defeat Cincinnati (41-16), Jacksonville shutting down Buffalo (9-6), and the Giants beating the Raiders (23-16).

In the later games, we then saw a wounded underdog-Arizona team win in Santa Clara against the 49ers (31-17), and the Titans victorious (sans Derrick Henry) over the Rams in L.A. (28-16). So please, if anyone out there had a Week 9 ML parlay featuring (but not limited to) the Falcons, Broncos, Browns, Jaguars, Giants, Cardinals, and Titans, send us your slip and we’d love to share!
