Upsets & Underdogs has officially reached the legal drinking age! The 21st episode of this podcast presented by WynnBET will not only get you ready for Week 9 of the NFL season, but it also previews a big fighting weekend. You don’t want to miss it.

Will Blackmon and Nick Dais preview all the biggest games of Sunday’s slate, which includes the Minnesota Vikings at Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs, and Tennessee Titans at Los Angeles Rams.

In addition, this is the first episode that features multiple guests. Two-time former world champ Paulie Malignaggi joins the show to discuss the Canelo Alvarez vs. Caleb Plant showdown. Then, Antoine Bethea of the Man to Man Podcast (and former NFL safety) joins the show to discuss the action on the gridiron.

Canelo vs Plant showdown

It is a big weekend for fighting with UFC 268 slated to take place in Madison Square Garden and a big boxing matchup between Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant scheduled for Saturday as well. Blackmon’s second-favorite sport is boxing, so he was happy to start the show with a boxing preview.

Two-time former world champ Paulie Malignaggi offered up all kinds of insight on the big matchup.

Plant (21-0, 12 KOs) is the IBF champion. He defeated Jose Uzcategui in 2019 by unanimous decision to earn his title. And he has successfully defended it three times, two of which have been via TKOs.

Canelo’s only defeat has come against Floyd Mayweather, where he lost a very close majority decision back in 2013. He has a 56-1-2 record, with 38 KOs on his resume. Canelo is 31, which is two years older than Plant.

WynnBET is expecting Canelo to have no trouble here, with -950 odds to win the match. Plant’s price is currently +630. The over/under is currently set at 9.5 rounds.

The rest of the show is previewing Week 9 of the NFL season, including their favorite picks, so make sure to check it out!
